Our story

Before this, our lives looked quite different.

David & Rachel, the founders

We both came from fast-paced, city-based careers - full schedules, global travel, always on.
At some point, we both felt the same pull: to step away, and live a little differently.

For Rachel, that shift led to creating Reset Button Wellness Retreats—award-winning retreats focused on women’s health and wellbeing.
For David, it meant building a life outdoors, running mountain bike retreats in southern Spain and Andorra.

Different paths, but the same intention - creating space for people to step out of the noise.

Finding this place

When we found this valley, we knew it was special.

It was quiet. Undisturbed. A place where nature had been in charge for a long time.

We made a simple agreement with each other:
to take care of it, to listen to what the land needed, and not try to shape it into something it isn’t.

At the time, many of the trees here were dying. We had to take them down, but instead of removing them entirely, we used the wood to build the cabins - by hand, on-site, slowly, and with care.

Everything we’ve done has followed that same approach.
Honour what’s already here. Keep things natural.

Nature as healer

We didn’t want to create something prescriptive.

No schedules. No expectations.

Just a place where people can come for a few days, feel nature up close, breathe a bit differently and experience the quiet beauty of this valley for themselves.

If you come and stay, we hope it gives you what it has given us.

Our cabins are sustainably built from pine trees that once stood in the surrounding forest. After a 3 year drought in Catalunya, many of the trees died. We gave them a second life by transforming the wood into our cosy cabins. Every element of the site, from the accommodation to the trails, is rooted in respect for the land, using only local materials. Each detail has been carefully designed to offer a space where guests can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature.

Tree-friendly living.
